<p>My six years of service on the M.S.A.D. #75 School Board convinced me that the State needs to pay its fair share of school budgets.&nbsp; To get our property taxes under control the currently figured 55% is not enough.&nbsp; Our funding formula is out of date and in need of improvement to make the funding more equitable.&nbsp; Recognizing the hard work and professionalism of our teachers I have voted several times to increase base starting salaries, and to strengthen teacher retirement benefits.&nbsp; I believe strongly in the value to our democracy of public schooling.&nbsp; All 5 of my children have attended our local public schools.</p>
